Vintage Collectible Sigma Tastesetter Ceramic Dog Bank in Novato, CA

Vintage Collectible Sigma Tastesetter Ceramic Dog Bank

This is a very highly collectible, vintage, circa 1970 (approximately 48 years old) Sigma Tastesetter, ceramic, dog coin bank. The dog head figurine is dressed in a colonial style uniform with a dark/navy blue tricorne hat interspersed with gold trim. Complimenting this motif is his uniform of rust, gold, and blue with a pale blue and white collar. The facial features of the dog illustrate the intricate pattern of facial hair, and whiskers. These details accent his brown eyes, nose, and mouth. The measurements are approximately: 6 1/2? high x 7? wide x 5?. The dog is in very good vintage condition. The underside is marked, ?Sigma Taste Setter, Made In Japan, Theodora? (the original paper label is present). The bank also includes its original rubber white stopper. There are some scratches in the paint on the backside of the hat, and there was an attempt to repair them by the former owner; however these are due to age of the piece and add to its overall vintage character(see pictures). I acquired this piece as part of an estate sale that I am charged with liquidating.I am adjusting my price for the scratches present on the backside of this piece and selling the bank for $20.00, which is lower than the sites of eBay or Etsy.
